RESEARCH

The research area in which I am working is called Process Mining, which aims to extract useful knowledge from data stored in event logs of existing information systems.

The research project is focused on using Process Mining to improve business process management, specifically in allocate human resources to activities in business processes, through recommendations. The project presents a new framework for recommending resource allocation based on process mining. The proposed framework  is based on a multi-criteria, allowing the definition of a Resource Allocation Request during run-time, combining a current request information with historical and contextual information of the process execution.
